K2 Snowboard

If you're lookin' for a bit more bang out of your snowboard than just roman candles and sparklers, then we have a board for you. The K2 Bottle Rocket Snowboard makes a park feature out of anything on the mountain. Flat underfoot for stability, with rocker at the tip and tail for a buttery, surfy feel, the Bottle Rocket also features K2 s built-in Ollie bar and carbon layup for the pop and snap equivalent of a 4th of July fireworks demonstration. The true twin K2 Bottle Rocket Snowboard brings explosive freestyle potential to the whole mountain!
Product Details
Rocker Type
Twin Rocker Baseline™ – A versatile twin rocker design built to take on any freestyle line. Just enough rise in the tip and tail to create a loose, buttery feel without sacrificing pop and response.
Tweekend™ – Tweekend™ is simply taking the rocker and camber profile of the board and extending that profile into the tip and tail. This allows you to use the whole board as stable platform for pressing butters, floating in powder and landing big hits
Flex
Flex Rating – 3 (1 Soft - 5 Stiff)
Shape
True Twin
Volume Shift™ – Volume is moved from the tips and tails to underfoot for a wider, shorter design than traditional snowboard shapes, increasing mobility and maneuverability for better slashing and more lines through the trees.
Core
BAP Core – K2 blended three species of renewable timber to assemble a core that's strong, lightweight, and designed to enhance dampening without the addition of other materials.
Laminates
ICG™ Carbon Glass – Integrating tip-to-tail carbon fiber stringers into fiberglass lay-ups ensures a smooth power release in and out of turns while increasing pop, liveliness, and longevity of the snowboard without adding unnecessary rigidity. K2 offers ICG™ glass in two variations; ICG™ 10 Biax Glass and ICG™ 20 Triax.
Triaxial Glass – A glass laminate with diagonal layers that adds torsional stiffness for increased stability and improved edge hold. The fibers three layers are woven at 45, 45 and 0 degrees. This makes for a more responsive ride longitudinally and torsionally.
Carbon Torque Forks – K2 keeps their carbon simple by placing it from the binding to the contact points of the board for a more responsive and stable ride.
Ollie Bar – The Ollie Bar is a totally new approach to adding pop to a snowboard. Built in a pre-loaded cambered shape, it solves the concern that rockered boards don't have the pop that cambered boards have. Strong ollies and pressing power don't come from the tail alone. The backbone center section is actually more critical for smooth, even pressure. You have to try it to believe the pop.
Sidewalls
Hybritech™ – Hybritech™ is the most efficient way to make a snowboard without sacrificing one ounce of performance. Featuring sidewalls along the running surface that flow into the nose and tail, providing low swing-weight while extending the wood core all the way to the tip of the board for optimized turning initiation and durability.
Base
Sintered 4000 – K2's sintered 4000 base absorbs wax deep into the material for relentless glide and unrivaled durability.
Binding Compatibility
2 x 4 Inserts

Pros: fun, tons of pop, maneuverable
Cons: none

This board is sort of the best of both worlds in a park board: it is rocker shape, which makes it somewhat soft and playful at the tips for jibbing. But, the carbon parts in the board give this thing a ton of pop, more than I've ever felt in a board that isn't camber. This does make the board feel a little stiffer however, there are better boards to buy if you just want to ride rails. It is shorter and wider than most boards, and it has a deep side cut, so it is really maneuverable and easy to carve. Just make sure to buy a size down from what you normally would ride. Overall, it is a super unique and fun park board to ride.

coming from a skate boarder background the bottle rocket is a awesome board! going with a shorter size makes for a fun skate feel with the pop throughout the board makes for a great time in the park.

Pros: Handled well
Cons: Stiffer

I asked the rep to give me his softest board he had and he gave me the bottle rocket to demo. It was a little on the stiffer side for me but still had flex to it you just had to work a little harder to get it. It handled very well on the groomers in slushy conditions. You can size down a few centimeters on this board due to its construction.
