This is a great wardrobe piece. It's lightweight yet still warm. It works great as a stand alone jacket in the fall, or as a layering piece throughout the winter.

NorthFace does an excellent job of making extremely versatile pieces and this is no exception. The Termoball transitions nicely from a cool fall day jacket to a great insulation piece on the coldest of days on the slopes. The fitted styling is both flattering on its own and important when layering under a ski jacket.
Synthetic down alternative makes this jacket less bulky than its down counterparts. It also retains warmth in the event that it gets wet. If you've never gotten snow in your jacket that melts and soaks your down - you have no idea how important this is!
There is no hood on this piece but they do sell the same jacket with a hood if that is important to you.
All around great piece.

Great for everyday use, or as layering piece on those really cold days.
