I had picked out these mittens on the Burton website, and they are all I expected them to be--excellent protection for my hands, which chill easily due to my poor circulation at 87 years of age. I would have purchased them elsewhere for about 1/3 less, but the less pricey suppliers were out of them, and I decided not to wait so I paid almost $100 for them. Buckman's service was fine, but I would not purchase from them again unless the price on an item I wanted was cheaper than I can get it from Amazon.com.

It IS the warmest mitt

I've used the mitten for two seasons now and it is incredibly warm! The real 550 down is so warm compared to synthetic down insulation. Another plus, its totally waterproof. You can't beat the best warmth and waterproof out there. Buy these mittens and you will be happy you did when you get out on the coldest days of the year!
