Pros: high waist for protection, flattering fit, true to size
Cons: lower outer waist band can be cumbersome under a jacket

These pants were very comfortable. The high waist is extra protection from the elements and also keeps the pants up, when you are active on the mountain. The cut is attractive and flattering on most body types.
