Packable and with zippable underarm vents—just what I wanted for my upcoming birding trip to Colombia. I bought a size up to make layering easy. It isn’t easy to find an xxl so I am very pleased with Buckman’s for having this size and fir speedy service.

Great year round jacket

This jacket is a great year round product. Awesome to use on rainy days, on the river while fishing as a wind breaker, or as a top layer on colder days. Very light weight and easily able to be packed into a day or overnight pack. It holds true to its claim as being waterproof and has kept me dry in the heaviest of rainstorms. High neck is also a great feature.

A Must Have

This is a year-round staple piece. It is awesome for any rainy days and easy to layer lightly underneath. The Precip is true to size and super lightweight. This was a lifesaver on at hike up Mount Washington and I strongly recommend it for anyone that enjoys the outdoors no matter the weather. From the beach to the mountains, you need it in at least one color.

Live in it.

Pros: great for travel, great breathability, use in 3/4 seasons in all weather
Cons: no insulation

I keep this jacket in my car at all times. It comes in handy when you would least expect it. I have hiked in this in the snow and rain (layered over a midlayer). We were moving so I was warm enough. I have also walked my dog in the rain in this lots of times... the underarm vents are a lifesaver. Doesn't get that musty smell if you wear it outside in the rain. Extremely compact- hardly takes up any room in my pack or luggage so it is also great for traveling. I would recommend buying a solid color because this is a jacket you'll end up wearing with everything! Good for running when it is windy too. I wear this jacket three out of four seasons.
