Pros:
Warm, soft, stays dry

Too hot on warm days

Yes
Never lets wind through and stays super soft even through years of use. Other ones I have used get wet and cold but turtle fur lasts a whole day and keeps you super warm.
Prefer chelonia model

No
I've always had the original turtle fur and recently retired it. The original is very warm, but if you're outside on a cold day and you breathe through your mouth, the fleece gets saturated leaving you cold. I'd recommend the turtle fur chelonia over the original to keep moisture build up at bay.

This is a great item to keep you warm on those cold days on the mountain. I've always used turtle fur and would never go back! Great selection of colors

From the beginning I have always used a turtle fur, its so warm and through the cold night keeps you warm.
