Pros:
Can be an outerlayer or midlayer. Warmth
Cons:
Hood is attached , can not be removed

Yes
This is a light weight jacket made with 700 down so it is extremely warm without any bulk. It has an attached hood so it can be used as your outerlayer jacket or as a mid layer combined with a shell over it for a bad weather day.
