Yes
I am 69 and haven't been on a groomed trail or otherwise for over 15 years. I used my beautiful discovery 68 Alpina for the first time last week. Hard work but am sure the Alpina made it much easier to learn over again and help keep me active and out doors all winter. Let you know more later when my opinion might mean more. I did have a list of what I wanted for a ski including economy, more stable width for balance plus using on tracks, off, or off trails.

Yes
Ax-country skier for 25 plus years. This is the best ski I ever used. The full metal edge allows me to ski places that I could not go before. The edges make for those quick turns when going down mountain bike trails.
