The Volkl Mantra has been a go to ski for me for the last few years, and this year is no different. Its fully rockered profile gives it an ease of turn initiation that one wouldn't expect from a ski that's 100mm under foot, while the solid race-like construction makes rock solid no matter how fast or how hard the snow is. The Mantras width and rocker allow it to float well enough in deep snow, and it's still narrow enough to manage in tight Vermont tree runs. For a strong skier who likes high speed edge hold in a package that wont sink into ruts every time it snows. This ski will handle everything you throw at it, and leave you smiling at the end of every run.
