Waffle on the inside, pique knit on the outside. Great zipper pocket on the chest, fits an iPhone. I have 3, one orange, one purple, and one turquoise blue. You can layer underneath with base layer or wear alone.

Really like these R1 Pullovers. Only con for me is the fit - its a bit boxy and I prefer my skiing midlayers to be a little more fitted over my baselayer. Arcteryx Delta LT is a slightly more superior version to this. But overall, a great piece for skiing still.
