Back to dominate another season comes the Volkl M5 Mantra Skis. The Titanal Frame has a shape that only reinforces the ski on the perimeter in front of and behind the binding platform. This drastically lowers the total weight of the ski and reduces the amount of energy it takes to steer the M5 in any condition without any sacrifice to the hard charging performance. Carbon Tips help reduce the tip chatter, improve floatation and also lower the swingweight for easy maneuvering. Moderate Taper in the tip and tail prevent the Mantra from feeling hooky or grabby in bumps, crud or heavy snow. Volkl's Multi-Layer Wood Core is still the same that is used in their world cup race skis to keep even the most powerful skiers satisfied. The Mantra Is Back

This ski reminds me of the Mantra of old with camber back underfoot. The rocker in the tip and tail help initiate the turns. This ski will hold a edge and not shake with the titanal frame. It can make the quick turns when needed but likes to run on a medium long radius turn.

New construction, makes for a whole new experience for this year! lighter ski, still a Mantra. Now will appeal to a wider range of skiers. This ski will take you all over the mountain.
