Burton Step-On Boot and Binding System Review: If you’re looking for the latest snowboard binding technology, this is it. Unveiled in Vail, CO on December 14, 2016, the Burton Step-On Boot and Binding System hits the market this Fall, and we are one of the few exclusive retailers to be carrying the product.

The Burton Step-On Quick Entry System eliminates any sitting down or bending over at the top of the lift, providing a fast toe-to-heel response when riding. With uncompromised comfort and a secure fit, landings are stable and solid with your foot staying in place more so than in
classic snowboard bindings. Keep reading to learn more about the new Burton Step On System.

While many people may think, “Don’t fix what’s not broke!”. Well, we are here to tell you we think this will prove to be one of the greatest snowboard innovations of the decade! Here’s what you need to know before Burton Step-On hits stores:

Appearance: The Burton Step-On Photon Boots (17285) and Burton Ruler Boots (172871) for men are very low-key and don’t look much different from regular snowboard boots. (Ladies - be sure to check out the Burton Step-On Felix Boots (172861) and Burton Limelight Boots (172881).) They have the piece to click in on the toe, but it isn’t very noticeable. Aside from the lack of ankle and toe straps, the Burton Step-On Bindings (Mens # 172831 and Womens #172841) look pretty typical. Used together, they are literally as easy as step, click, and ride!

Comfort: Many people are curious about the comfort of the new Burton Step-On Boots. Our employees have tried them and say they are very comfortable, so long as you don’t over-tighten them (like any other boot). They eliminate any boot movement and really lock-in, so the riding style may feel more like surfing or skating.

Convenience: “Heel, toe, go!” - The Burton Step-On System is very easy to use and even easier to get in and out of. Riders simply click in their heel, then their toe, and they are ready to go. They make a slight clicking noise and any bending down or sitting at the top of the slope is eliminated. To release at the end of a run, there is a lever on the side of the binding and when pushed it releases the boot.

Safety: Are these just as safe as regular bindings? Yes - They are!
