Great option for getting into touring without needing a full AT set up. Work really well for slack/side country and light tours. Heavier than true touring set ups, but they ski very well for what they are. Not my favorite binding, but they fill a great niche and I'm glad I have a set.

Cons:
none

Low profile, Easy to use touring binding. What i like most is that it's not necessary to remove your boot from binding when switching hike/ski modes. Lighter in weight compared to some others. Out performs many others in ski mode. Salomon did a great job on this binding.

So you're looking for a binding with full touring capability, that doesn't leave you with heart palpitations while charging the steeps, over the stress of knowing your boots are held in with two tiny pins? Well look no farther. The Salomon Guardian blends the uphill functionality of a touring binding, with the downhill security of an iso 5355 alpine binding.

While most touring bindings lose good contact with the ski and have a sloppiness theses do not.
