BUCKMANS WINS THREE INDUSTRY AWARDS

This year, the SnowSports Industries America (SIA) Snow Show was held in Denver, Colo. on January 27^th – 30^th. The SIA Snow Show is a place for retailers like Buckman’s to see all of the latest trends, innovations, full color palettes and complete product lines from over 800 winter sport brands. The Buckman’s team of buyers attended the trade show, not only to check out next year’s ski and snowboard products, but to accept several awards from two key industry players –Skiing Business and SIA.

Skiing Business, an online news source for anyone interested or involved in the ski industry, held their first annual awards ceremony this year during the SIA Snow Show. They created ten different award categories and asked reps and manufacturers to nominate retailers. Buckman’s took home the award for Best In-Shop Merchandising: Accessories as well as the award for Most Creative.

In addition to being recognized by Skiing Business, Buckman’s received an award from SIA. Each year, SIA recognizes specialty retailers that have successfully created and strengthened relationships with reps and suppliers to increase sales and public interest in the snow sports industry. Out of 1,200 ski and snowboard retailers that were nominated across the nation, Buckman’s Ski & Snowboard Shop was selected as the Mid-Atlantic Retailer of the Year. Buckman’s has now received this award three times in the past five years.
