Buckmans Partners with Burton Snowboards FROM BURTON SNOWBOARDS:

BURLINGTON, VT (September 7, 2012)

Burton Snowboards is excited to announce the opening of a new partner store with Buckman’s, a long-time Burton retailer with over six stand-alone ski and snowboard shops in the Philadelphia area. Located at the King of Prussia mall in Pennsylvania, the new store exclusively features the best winter 2013 products from Burton, Analog, Gravis, Anon and RED.

“We are extremely excited to have the opportunity to partner with Burton and open a store in the King of Prussia mall,” said Brad Buckman, Senior Vice President and Marketing Director at Buckman’s Inc. “For over 20 years, Burton has been a top-selling brand in our retail stores. Through this partnership, we’re able to show customers even more of the incredible products Burton has to offer.”

With a wood-clad exterior, large timbers and handcrafted details, the new store provides customers a real taste of Vermont, the home of Burton Snowboards. Many of the shelves, tables and fixtures were custom-made in Vermont, and no detail in the store was overlooked. Visitors to the store will also get a feel for Burton’s long heritage in snowboarding by checking out the history wall where archival snowboards and photographs are on display. As far as products go, the new store features an extensive line-up of Burton’s industry-leading hardgoods, including 2013 snowboards, boots and bindings as well as dedicated sections for outerwear, apparel, bags, accessories and youth products, all of which just hit the market last month.

“At Burton, we’re all really proud to work with one of our local retailers, Buckman’s, on this new partner store,” said John Lacy, EVP of Product & North American Sales at Burton. “With a huge selection of 2013 winter and year-round products and a super dedicated staff of rider professionals, our new partner store will give visitors an amazing Burton brand experience.”
