Very warm but they shortened the cuffs

I have owned a pair of these for years. Decided to get a new pair since the old ones were starting to get a little worn. The new gloves were just as warm (wore them skiing last week), but the cuffs are shorter. Shorter than in the picture here. I liked the longer cuffs because they kept out the snow even in a bad fall. The new shorter ones not so much
